FAVORITE part of being a teacher

This is a homemade ruler that a little girl made for me as she said every teacher needs a ruler. I love it. Precious to me in everyway.

My brother

My brother sent me this picture as he knew what I would think of this shirt. Thanks Richard for thinking of me..

Race for Wishes

Don't forget that this Sat. March 27th is the Make a Wish Race for Wishes. Travis was granted a wish from make a wish and now we are giving back. We are super close to being able to grant a wish for another boy or girl. We would love to see you out there. The picture is from last year, we were the largest team last year.

Basketball and SNOW

What a surprise this morning to wake up to snow. I am still recovering from my sunburn and now am wearing my northface coat. UGH Texas weather.
Basketball is still around our house. Both of the boys were very frustrated that number 1 seed Kansas got beat. (are you impressed with my basketball lingo)....
Of course Tech is in the NIT tournament but the boys don't care about that tournament only the march madness stuff.
Baseball practice was cancelled today, what no baseball in the snow... I can't say I am disappointed.
Heading back to kindergarten tomorrow. I am sure I will have some fun stories to tell after tomorrow.

Spring Break

Can you believe that it is March already. Spring break is upon us and we just returned from Austin. We stayed in Horseshoe bay and the boys loved it. One day it rained but other than that they played outside the entire time. I on the other hand stayed at the pool one day and got sooo sunburned. Not so good. You would think that at age 42 I would learn my lesson.
Ever since we got home our TV, computer and ipod have been on the March Madness games. Both boys have brackets and that is consuming their minds. I have heard already way tooo much about basketball. Pray for me. Gotta love boys.

Busy Busy

Sorry for the no blogging. Well, no excuses except we have been super busy. Trey had math olympics this past week and did well but did not place. We were very proud of him . Travis' basketball team somehow won 2 games in the playoffs and went to the championship round. They lost but were extremely happy to play the game. Baseball is starting this week. Never sure when we get a break from sports but as many of you who have boys know mothers of boys are busy from son up till son down.
Trey had his small group over for the weekend and from what I heard, swallowing raw eggs and drinking a gallon of milk were done. I wondered why there was vomit in our yard....

Looking forward to cold and flu season going away. Trying to stay healthy and keep the germs at bay.

Horrible Blogger

I know I have been horrible about blogging. Things are crazy around here as usual and don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. 2010 wow is it really true. I remember the Y2K issues 10 years ago. I was pregnant with Travis on bedrest and wondering what if I would make it until 40 weeks with him. Of course, you know we didn't but remember that year vividly. Last year we rang in the new year at Children's with a broken back. Oh the things you remember. Am hoping this year I won't have those kinds of things to remember but many more blessings and God's faithful hand in our family. I can promise to be better about blogging but that would be a lie. I will try. Trey is playing junior high basketball and that is consuming most of my afternoons and evenings. Travis is playing basketball as well, praise God he can play and no broken backs. Trey is having some issues with the bone spur he had removed on his jaw and will probably have to have it removed again. Robert is doing well, traveling a lot but enjoyed his time off this Dec. I do promise to post some pictures for you soon. Thanks for checking in with us.
