Hip Drained Again

On Friday, Trey had his right hip drained. I know we just had the left one done and now the right hip. Words fail me right now. I know the Lord knows my heart and there is no sense in hiding but gosh.... This is hard to swallow. The Dr is convinced that Trey has Rheumatoid arthritis. Really Lord, WE already deal with all Travis' stuff and now this. It has been a hard weekend, lots of thoughts tears and struggles. I know I will get to a better place soon but right now reeling with all this. Blood work should be back tomorrow so we should know more but until then please just pray for healing for Trey and for Robert and I as we process this as a family.

Hip Pain AGAIN

Trey is experiencing hip pain again. He will have an ultrasound today and then probably Wed or Thursday have the fluid drained. Pray for wisdom for the dr's to know WHAT in the WORLD is going on. Pray for pain management for Trey as he is in quite a bit a pain. Pray for our whole family as this has been UGH..... Thanks for your prayers

First Day of school

Here are the boys on the first day of school, they hate when I take their pictures. Trey is in 7th grade and Travis 5th grade. I took this picture in my kindergarten room with the cat in the hat in the background.

Too much to blog about

Once again I feel like a bad blogger. We have had so much going on with the boys medically that I have been too discouraged to write. This summer was filled with thre vacations and lots of fun memories but also filled with lots of discouraging times as well.
Trey started complaining of hip pain on July 4th and could hardly walk. All week things went downhill. After seeing the dr and the orthopedic dr we were told he had fluid in both hips. So he had the left hip drained and with no infection in sight, the dr indicated that he is probably developing Rheumatoid arthritis. UGH. Just what we need another thing. We headed off to NM with fluid in the right hip but thought he was better. wrong. On his birthday we spent the afternoon in the ER talking with Dr's in Dallas about his hip. Pain meds and more blood work. Still everyone seems to think RA. 3 days later he had an asthma attack and ended up in ICU, needless to say, the next day we headed back to Dallas.
In the middle of all of that, we received a call from the dr about Travis that he tested positive for HEP C.. ugh we did more blood work and Thank the LORD, he does not have Hep C. But for several days we had to process that.
Lots of medical issues, and at times frustrated that all this is going on but must remember that HE is in control not ME... easier said than done.
Will update soon with lots of FUN pics.
